Develop Product Design Skills with Autodesk Inventor (WSQ)
This hands-on course trains learners to design machine parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor, progressing from 2D sketches to 3D models, exploded views, animations, and production-ready drawings with GD&T. By mastering both top-down and bottom-up assembly approaches, participants gain the ability to produce accurate, standard-compliant designs that enhance communication, manufacturability, and quality assurance. These competencies directly address industry needs in precision manufacturing, product development, and production planning, and translate into career opportunities such as CAD Technician, Mechanical Designer, or Design/Production Engineer. Designed for beginners progressing to intermediate level, the course is ideal for junior engineers, drafters, and technical professionals seeking to upgrade their skills and advance into design or engineering roles.

Produce 3D assembly models by applying core assembly techniques to demonstrate proficiency in both top-down and bottom-up assembly approaches
Generate an exploded view and animation through CAD features, ensuring compliance with international drawing standards and understanding of material selection
Produce detailed 2D and 3D machine module assembly drawings in compliance with international and industry drawing standards.
Present detailed orthographic views of models, ensuring effective communication of all design specifications through established drafting techniques
Apply GD&T principles in producing drafts and models
Produce detailed, dimensioned drawings of machine part designs, in compliance with drawing standards
Review final designs using CAD applications for possible improvements, according to machine specifications

Frequently Asked Question:
What’s the eligibility criteria for WSQ Funding?
You need to be a Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident, physically based in Singapore.
You must successfully complete the programme and pass the assessment in order to be eligible.
You must attend at least 75% of the training.
Can I combine any other grant with the WSQ/SkillsFuture Credits subsidy?
No, you cannot claim any other grant if you are claiming this subsidy from WSQ. You should not be claiming for any other grants, subsidies, or tax concessions, provided unless explicitly permitted.
Do I need to pay the full fee, and then claim the subsidy from WSQ Funding?
The programme works on a Nett fee model, i.e. you only need to pay the difference between the fee, and the funding amount at the time of enrollment. The training provider (TP) will claim the funding amount from SSG on completion of the programme. In case you fail to complete the programme, or if the claim raised by TP is rejected by SSG then you are liable to pay the funding amount to TP.
