
Mechanical and Shape Designer - Transition
This learning path provides you with a guided and systematic approach to learn about the Mechanical and Shape Designer role utilizing your CATIA V5 knowledge. It covers the knowledge and know-how related to sketches, wireframes, basic surfaces and building assemblies. This learning path also provides the opportunity to practice the various functionalities that you have learned.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this learning path, you will be able to create surfaces based on the wireframe geometries, complete a 3D model using basic features and build assemblies using the solid models. You will also be able to create simple mechanisms and simulate the relative motions. Furthermore, you will be able to generate drawings for parts and assemblies.
Prerequisites
Students enrolling for this learning path must be familiar with the engineering concepts and fundamentals of the Surface Design domain. They should also be familiar with CATIA V5 Mechanical Design and Surface Design.
